Sister Elizabeth’s educational career includes teaching elementary school from 1978-1990 in Ohio and New York, teaching General Music (PreK-8) and guitar lessons in Arizona, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin since 1991. During those years she has also served as Director of Music and Liturgy, church musician, liturgist, cantor, choir director, Music for Tots teacher, and Director of Hand Bells and Hand Chimes Choir. Sister Elizabeth is passionate about teaching music and believes music is an effective discipline to bring beauty and grace into our world.  She enjoys singing and plays a variety of instruments, including trumpet and guitar. Sister Elizabeth performed with the Silver Lake College of the Holy Family Band, Choir and Hand Bell Choir in 2014-2015.Sister Elizabeth is presently teaching music in Grades PreK-8 in the Consortium Catholic Schools located in Chilton, Clarks Mills and Kiel, Wisconsin.

Sister M. Lucianna’s career includes teaching classroom music K through 12 in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Chicago, Illinois and Yuma Arizona. Choirs in grade school, high school and adult choirs were taught and accompanied in each state. Private music lessons on almost every instrument (except bagpipes!) were included in Sister's teaching at every school. In 1966 Sister joined the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra as a violinist and has also performed with the Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, Yuma, Arizona Philharmonic Orchestra, Ohio Wesleyan Symphony Orchestra and most recently the great Civic Symphony of Green Bay. She presently resides at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.

Sister Carol Ann has taught piano lessons, band (5-8) and general music (preK-8) for twenty-five years. She taught music in Arizona, Hawaii, Nebraska and Wisconsin and also served as church musician organist, choir director, and liturgist. In July of 2013 Sister Carol Ann began her work at Holy Family Conservatory as Administrator and private music teacher. In 2014 Sister taught classes in the Music for Tots™ program. She enjoys teaching the piano and band instruments to beginners of all ages.  She performs on the French horn in the Silver Lake College Wind Ensemble.

Laura S. Homuth earned a BA from Trinity International University in 2002. Her major is music with an emphasis in Church Music. Laura holds a MA from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, 2009 with a degree in Counseling Ministries. In 2002  she served in many capacities through a Church Music Internship; sang with and conducted a small vocal ensemble and orchestra, rehearsed a youth choir and planned music for weekly services. From 2004 -2009  Laura was School of Music Administrator/Coordinator for Trinity College. Since 2008 she teaches private flute lessons. As a mother she attended Music for Tots™ classes with her children and in 2014 taught Music for Tots™ classes. Laura has taught private piano lessons, performed flute with various ensembles and as a soloist. Presently Laura generously serves her Church as instrumental musician, leader, teacher and director of music groups.

Sister Marsaia was born and raised in Green Bay, WI. At a young age, she entered Holy Family Convent and made profession as a Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity. She taught grade school music, private lessons and worked with liturgy in several different states. (Wisconsin, Nebraska, Arizona and Michigan) Sister taught piano, winds and harp for years at Holy Family Conservatory of Music in Manitowoc. Presently she teaches harp and works with a harp ensemble group. Sister is also certified as a bedside harp therapist. Sister Marsaia has a passion for Evangelization. She has also done extensive work in Christian Spirituality; she served at Monte Alverno Retreat Center in Appleton; has given retreats in various other locations. Sister very much enjoys playing piano for liturgy. Sister is also talented in the visual arts, photography and especially creating beautiful room environments.

Julie Koenig holds a Master of Music degree with Kodaly emphasis and a Bachelor of Music degree in instrumental, general, and vocal music education from Silver Lake College of the Holy Family.  In addition to directing the Silver Lake Children's Choir beginning in fall of 2015, Ms. Koenig is also the Coordinator of the Holy Family Conservatory Music for Tots™ Program and teaches tots at the Manitowoc site. She is Music Director and Organist of First Reformed United Church of Christ and an organist at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc.  Ms. Koenig has previously taught general music K-8; and middle through high school choral and instrumental music in the Valders School District.  She enjoys a long association with the Holy Family Conservatory taking music lessons there herself as a child and her children as well. Both of her children have also been enrolled in the Music for Tots™ Program beginning with Sister Lorna Zemke's Lovenotes, Music for the Unborn.

Sister Mary Carol taught music in Catholic Parochial Schools for forty years. During this time she worked with Katinka Daniel and the Kodaly curriculum in Santa Barbara, California. She taught in schools in Michigan, Wisconsin and California. Most schools combined classroom teaching with instrumental band music, private lessons and Church music. For thirteen years Sister Mary Carol was an Instructor of Music and Director of an accomplished Recorder Ensemble at Silver Lake College Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She is the author of four music books: Folk Songs In the Classroom; Learning The Soprano Recorder Through Folksong, Recorder In Ensemble and Christmas Plays For The Classroom Teacher. Sister has enjoyed teaching private lessons at Holy Family Conservatory of Music since 1999. In her spare time Sister loves to read mysteries, biographies and music books.

Sister Antonice has been a Holy Family Conservatory teacher for twenty-six years. She has taught many students during her career. Six students followed in her footsteps and obtained music degrees. Besides Conservatory teaching Sister taught nineteen years in Catholic grade schools in West Virginia, Wisconsin and Michigan. Her work in the Catholic Schools involved classroom music, instrumental band, Church music, organist, choir director and private lessons. Sister is also knowledgeable of finances having worked in the finance office of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity for nine years. During work for her Master’s Degree, Sister wrote a book called Kindergarten Kup-Board. Her hobbies include knitting, crocheting and embroidery.

Matthews is pursuing a degree in piano pedagogy and performance with a minor in English. She has been a member of the Silver Lake Jazz Ensemble and Concert Choir and presently enjoys ringing bells with the Handbell Ensemble.

Matthews began piano lessons at the age of 8 and discovered a love for music. Today she enjoys teaching 18 private students, plays for church services regularly and accompanies for various events such as Solo & Ensemble festivals. She also performs for occasions such as weddings and enjoys collaborating with other musicians. Her goal is to focus primarily on teaching, with a plan to have her own studio in future years.

Emma McAlister has a Violin Performance Degree from UW Whitewater and graduated from UW Stevens Point with a Masters in Music Education with an emphasis in Suzuki Talent Education in May 2017. At UW Whitewater, Emma had the privilege to be concertmaster of the symphony and the chamber orchestra, and was a member of the Chancellor’s Quartet. She was also a fellow in the Lake Geneva Symphony Fellowship Program. She has experience performing for a variety of events, including numerous weddings. Emma enjoys playing in all configurations of ensembles and is comfortable in a variety of styles such as classical, pop, and fiddle music. Emma has extensive experience teaching private violin lessons, group classes, and coaching orchestra sectionals.

Sister Angela has taught general music pre K - 8, band, guitar, and served as Church musician for 49 years. She taught and served in Hawaii, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Sister enjoys sewing, shopping, traveling, floral arranging, doing classical ballet, and studying architecture. Sister Angela began teaching at Holy Family Conservatory in 2005. She delights in helping students learn and preparing them for performance.

Sister Rosaire has taught piano, guitar and organ for over fifty years. She has taught Band (Grades 5-8) and (K-8 General Music since 1959. She taught music in Wisconsin (Manitowoc, Green Bay, Kaukauna, Appleton, Oshkosh and Waukesha) as well as Michigan, Nebraska and Arizona. Sister also served as Church Organist and Choir Director for both Adult and Children’s Choirs in many of these assignments. While in Arizona she served as Organist and Religion Teacher at Yuma Proving Ground Chapel an Army Military Base, twenty miles southeast of Yuma, Arizona. Sister Rosaire enjoys every aspect of music but especially teaching piano lessons to students of all ages and the wonderful experience she enjoyed as a Band Instructor! Sister Rosaire also enjoys listening to and all types of music, reading good books (biographical) all of the sports-especially football and visiting with friends.

Sister Marcus is a specialist in the Suzuki method. In 1980, she began teaching the Suzuki String Method at Holy Family Conservatory. She refers to it the mother-tongue approach where children learn by listening. She has taught many thousands of string students during her years at Holy Family Conservatory. Sister is proud of the fact that she began giving violin lessons to Garth Neustadter when he was four years old. He pursued a musical career and is now an Emmy Award-Winning composer and multi-instrumentalist. During 1958-1980 she served as general music teacher in Catholic grade schools in Wisconsin, Hawaii, Ohio and Michigan. Sister likes reading, making greeting cards, working at Hope House and playing in the Silver Lake College Bell choir. In 2000 wearing a helmet while bicycling saved her life. This has made Sister Marcus a grateful certificate owner of “Saved By The Helmet Club”.

Stanislava Varshavski was born in Kharkov, Ukraine. A young piano prodigy, she had her orchestral debut at the age of eight. After receiving her initial musical training in Ukraine, Stanislava proceeded with her studies at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy in Israel. There, at 1998, she together with Diana Shapiro established the Varshavski-Shapiro Piano Duo. Within a few years the duo won first prizes at series of international competitions, leading to a set of appearances across three continents. After studying under the legendary Israeli duo Tamir-Eden, and Prof. Victor Rosenbaum in Boston, in 2011 Ms. Varshavski received her DMA degree from UW-Madison, where she studied under Prof. Martha Fischer. In addition to her collaborations with leading instrumentalists, Dr. Varshavski also pursues an active piano education career. Currently she is a Piano Faculty member at the Silver Lake College and the Sherwood Community Music School at Columbia College Chicago.
